Who should be our next president?

Although there is no chance anymore, Mitt Romney should be the next president. He is the most conservative, which for me is good. I like his views on:

1) Tough stance on illegal immigration (no amnesty)
2) No date for surrender in Iraq
3) Firm grasp of the economy, being a billionaire himself
4) Solid healthcare program that uses private investors, rather than taxpayers' money
5) Tax relief on the rich, thus stimulating the economy (therefore global economy).
6) Overall personality and leadership qualities

McCain who will likely win the Republican nomination is soft on all of the issues above besides the war. He is challenging Hilary in the liberal department.

Obama

1) He'll begin withdrawal out of Iraq
2) Expiration of the tax relief on the rich.
3) Concern for the environment and desire to set a date for green house gas reductions.
4) Personality is very likeable.

I'm so glad that this question was added, just so I could hear Conner's response. I personally have no real idea where my vote would be. I just lack the firm stance and decisive qualities of Conner or Vincent.

I think Mrs. Zavitz should be our next president. No doubt about it.

I don't really know who should be our next president. However, it will probably be either Hillary, Obama, or McCain but personally I dont see one person becoming president over the other affecting me at all.

To Vincent's comment...

1) Troop withdrawal - That is nothing but a timetable for surrender. The surge is working and if the US pulls out now, terror rates will skyrocket. Calling for a pullout is a complete and utter slap in the face for the troops in Iraq fighting for security.

2) Expiration of tax relief on the rich - Then you obviously are in support of taking 15 points off of your grade and distributing it among others who haven't worked as hard as you have. The simple fact is - the rich stimulate the economy by making big purchases, the rich provide jobs, the rich have worked harder to make it to the top, and this is America. Capitalism is the fundamental promise the USA and redistributing money to the poor would take away that vision of our founding fathers.

3) Environment - Spending that kind of money right now would be unwise. With rumors of a US recession, the funds should go to stimulating the economy OR the military and securing our borders. As for the impact, what is it? What exactly will green house gases actually do to anyone?

4) Personality - Obama can speak quite well. But John McCain was taken as a prisoner of war and tortured by the Vietnamese. He opted to stay in Vietnam when he qualified for a discharge. That is reason enough to say that McCain loves this country. But, hey! At least Obama has a good personality.

And by the way, I support McCain now since Romney dropped out. He is soft on immigration, but at least he'll defend us. Nobody can challenge that.

My vote would probably go to Huckabee, since he is strongly pro-life, not to mention he's probably the most avid Christian in the race. It would be nice to have a strong Believer as president. I also agree with his stand on other issues, mainly immigration, foreign policy, education, and healthcare.

However, I disagree with his stand on environmental issues. He voted against the Kyoto Protocol, which really doesn't make sense to me.

Other than that, I really like Huckabee and his views. I believe he has a good plan set up for presidency if he wins.

McCain, as many supporters as obama has and i do like him but hes got no real experience 2 years in the senate doesnt prepare you for the presidency. And of course we cant pick the SHE-Devil now can we that just wouldnt be right.
